On Monday morning at around 5:30 am, when the chain was pulled in the Ghazipur-Bandra Express near village Chandanpur on the Delhi-Howrah railway line, the three accused who were being taken from Pratapgarh to Nala Sopara Police Station, Palghar District, Maharashtra on transit remand, escaped by dodging the police.

The accused were travelling in the A-1 coach of the train and were accompanied by two sub-inspectors Milind Tayde, Harshal Raut and two constables. The policemen said that they dozed off in the morning. The three accused were tied with a rope and jumped off the train by jerking it. By the time the police came to know, the train had picked up speed. Civil police along with GRP are searching for the three accused.

A case of fraud has been registered in Mumbai

GRP CO Uday Pratap Singh said that among those who absconded are Mohd. Anees son Mohd. Rafiq resident of Ramapur police station Fatanpur tehsil Gauriganj Pratapgarh, Mohd. Rehan Farukhi son Wasim Farukhi resident of Rajanpur police station Kunda district Pratapgarh, Kaleem Ahmed son Vakil Ahmed resident of village Rajanpur police station Kunda Pratapgarh. A case of fraud is registered against them in Nala Sopara Mumbai Maharashtra.

He had absconded with 20 lakh rupees 

They used to work in building construction and had absconded with Rs 20 lakh from someone in Mumbai. A case of fraud was registered against all three. Maharashtra Police had arrested them and was taking them from Pratapgarh on transit remand till June 20.

Police says that after escaping, the three accused reached a village and with the help of the villagers, they went ahead, after that no information has been received about them. GRP station in-charge Shailesh Nigam said that a case has been registered against the three accused under section 224 i.e. escaping from police custody by Nala Sopara police station sub-inspector Harshal Raut. Three police teams are searching for them.

Police claimed to arrest him soon 

SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma said that under the leadership of CO City Amit Kumar, the police of Friends Colony and Ikdil police stations have been deployed to search for them. The accused will be arrested soon.
