State Bureau, Lucknow. Despite meeting the electricity demand of more than 29 thousand megawatts in the state, people are facing problems in the scorching heat due to local faults.
After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued instructions in this regard on Friday, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) reviewed the situation. UPPCL Chairman Dr. Ashish Goyal has ordered to make arrangements to replace the damaged transformers in a short time.
He said that as soon as a transformer gets damaged, a new transformer should be immediately sent to the spot from the workshop. Officers should coordinate and create a system so that there is no delay in this work. During summers, people get angry when power supply is disrupted for a long time due to local faults.
In such a situation, if the officers and employees do not pick up their phone, they get angry and even resort to vandalism. In such a situation, all officers and employees must pick up the consumers' phone and solve their problems on priority.
The complaints received on helpline number 1912 should also be resolved on time. Arrangements should be made for uninterrupted power supply in the 13 seats where Lok Sabha elections are to be held on Saturday. There should be electricity at the polling centres under all circumstances. Teams should be formed to ensure that there is no problem.
