UP By Election: Ajit Prasad has thanked SP chief Akhilesh Yadav for making him the Samajwadi Party candidate in the by-election to be held on Milkipur seat of Ayodhya. Talking to the media, he said that Akhilesh Yadav has expressed confidence in me. I have been given a ticket in the Milkipur assembly by-election, 'I thank him for that. I thank the great people of Ayodhya Dham and Milkipur from the bottom of my heart.'

During a discussion with the media, Ajit Prasad said that stray animals are a big problem here. Farmers are troubled by stray animals, many farmers have even lost their lives. Speaking on the issue of corruption, he said that no work is done in Milkipur without money. Police stations and tehsils have become places of loot. Father Awadhesh Prasad has been elected MP from here and was an MLA from Milkipur. He has been an MLA for 9 consecutive times and has now been elected MP. No one has been able to do development work the way he has done. Now a double engine government is running, from the center to the state, the double engine government did not do any work from 2017 to 2024. Whatever work has been done has been done during the tenure of the Samajwadi Party.

Describing Milkipur assembly constituency as a challenge for BJP 
, Ajit Prasad said that the Chief Minister himself is in charge here. The assembly constituency is a challenge for BJP. Till date, BJP has not been able to declare its candidate. Speaking on the case filed in Kotwali Nagar, Ajit Prasad said that a fake kidnapping case was filed against me. It is baseless and false, there is no truth in this case. At the time when the kidnapping case was filed against me, I had attended the funeral of late Rajendra Chaudhary, I also have footage of it. We will contest the elections on the issue of development in Milkipur assembly constituency.
