The thieves dug the wall of the bank from the empty plot next to the bank and cut the bank locker room with a glader cutter and broke 30 lockers and escaped with jewelry and valuable papers.

Exactly one year later, the theft in Lucknow's bank on the same pattern is pointing towards a big syndicate. This incident took place near Matiyari police post of Chinhat police station area.
Forensic and dog squad team reached
the bank along with the police. In a statement of DCP East Shashank Singh regarding the robbery incident, he said that Sandeep, the manager of Overseas Bank located in Matiyari, Chinhat, had informed the police. Some people broke into the bank by cutting the wall from the plant next to the bank. On receiving the information, police officers and forensic and dog squad team immediately reached the spot.
Shashank Singh further said that investigation has revealed that about four people entered the bank by cutting the wall and escaped by opening some of the lockers in the bank and taking away the stuff kept in them. There was another locker filled with 12 lakhs which is safe according to the bank manager. The bank's alarm system was faulty and there was no guard as well, taking advantage of which the miscreants carried out this incident. 6 teams have been appointed for the disclosure, which also includes the crime team.
