Insurance sector giant Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has increased its stake in Apollo Tyres Limited from 4.983 per cent to 5.030 per cent. LIC has bought 0.047 per cent shares of Apollo Tyres on October 4 at an average price of Rs 531.53 per share. In an exchange filing, the company said, "Life Insurance Corporation of India has increased its stake in the equity shares of Apollo Tyres Limited from 3,16,50,845 to 3,19,50,845." Promoter holding in Apollo Tyres remains unchanged at 37.36 per cent in the June 2024 quarter.
The company's stock closed at Rs 970 on Friday with a gain of 0.27 per cent. In the last one year, the company's stock has seen a gain of 52.17 per cent. The 52-week high of the stock is Rs 1,222. Apollo Tyres shares closed at Rs 511 on Friday with a decline of 2.81 per cent. Talking about shareholding in the company, the promoters' stake in the June 2024 quarter remains unchanged at 96.50 per cent. While mutual funds have increased their stake from 0.68 per cent to 0.79 per cent in the June 2024 quarter.
