Violence broke out during the survey of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal on 24 November. Four people have died in this incident. At present, the atmosphere here is peaceful. In this connection, the administration has made a big announcement regarding Friday prayers in Jama Masjid tomorrow i.e. Friday (29 November). 

Moradabad division commissioner Anjaney Kumar Singh has clarified that tomorrow Friday prayers will be offered in Sambhal's Shahi Jama Masjid as usual. He has appealed to the people that outsiders should not come for Friday prayers and only those people who have been offering prayers in the vicinity should offer prayers here.

Commissioner Anjaney Kumar Singh said that tomorrow the rest of the people should offer Friday prayers in the mosques of their localities. Those coming to Shahi Jama Masjid to offer Friday prayers will be screened. Along with this, strict security arrangements have been made on the spot. 

Moradabad division commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh has appealed to the people not to pay heed to any kind of rumours and to return to their homes after offering namaz peacefully. He said, "If anyone tries to do something wrong other than Ibadat, he will be dealt with strictly."

The police has been alerted before Jumme ki Namaaz. DM SP conducted a flag march at night. SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi and District Magistrate Rajendra Pensia conducted a flag march with a heavy police force in the densely populated areas of the city. During this, people were assured of tight security arrangements.

What did the commissioner say about namaz?
Earlier, after the stone pelting incident in Sambhal, the question was being raised whether Friday namaz will be offered in Shahi Jama Masjid or not. On this, Moradabad divisional commissioner Anjaney Kumar Singh said, "As it always happens, namaz will be offered everywhere."

He said that the administration has appealed in this matter. The DM and SP of Sambhal have also spoken to the mosque committee and advised that it would be better if a small number of people come to offer namaz.

Anjaney Kumar Singh further said, "This area is a hotspot. Clashes took place here and evidence is being collected. Considering all these circumstances, it has been said that it would be better if a small number of people come for namaz. The mosque committee has agreed to this. We have no problem in allowing people to offer namaz peacefully."

Commissioner Anjaney Kumar Singh said that today we have held meetings with the Peace Committee. Apart from this, we have talked to the Ulema of different mosques. He said that we have received assurance of peaceful prayers from everyone, despite this, complete vigilance is being maintained. 

'Collection of evidence related to violence continues'
On this occasion, Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh said that the work of collecting necessary things and evidence related to the incident of stone pelting and violence is being done through a separate team. Necessary security forces have been deployed in Sambhal and security arrangements have been strengthened in all sensitive areas.

16 companies deployed for security
Moradabad division commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh said that in view of security in Sambhal, one company of RF, two companies of RRF and 13 companies of PAC, i.e. a total of 16 companies have been deployed. He said that apart from this, forces have been called from outside and deployed and we also have local police force, along with this we also have forces on standby. It will be used in case of emergency. 

Anjaney Kumar Singh said that every inch of Sambhal will be monitored till the situation becomes normal. He said that security has been beefed up in all the institutions including courts and religious places. Along with sensitive places, strict security arrangements have been made at those places where two parties can come face to face. 

Will the ban on internet continue?
Currently, there is a ban on internet in Sambhal and surrounding areas. Regarding the lifting of the ban, Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh said that at present the ban on internet continues here. A review meeting will be held tomorrow to lift the ban on internet and further decision will be taken accordingly.
