STF, police and drug department conducted a joint operation and raided a medical store and recovered a huge stock of drugs. The market value of the seized drugs is said to be in lakhs of rupees. Police has sent the drugs to the lab for testing.

Chemist operator arrested
Police and drug department conducted raid on chemist shop after getting information. Police had received information about supply of drugs from here, after which this action was taken. During this, chemist operator Amit Kumar has been arrested.

A huge quantity of physician samples was found during the raid. A large consignment of buprenorphine injections was recovered from it. The police recovered a large quantity of injections used for drug abuse. The estimated cost of the drugs recovered during the raid is estimated to be in lakhs of rupees. The drug department has taken samples of different medicines and samples of suspicious medicines have been sent for testing.

What did the police say?
A case has been registered against the arrested chemist operator under the Drug and Cosmetic Act, NDPS Act. Regarding this action, ACP Imran Ahmed said that STF had received information, after which joint action was taken. He said that a large quantity of illegal drugs have been recovered from the spot and one person has been arrested. Legal action is being taken against the accused.
