Pakistan News:  People in Pakistan, which is facing an economic crisis, may have to face a new shock of inflation. Petrol prices may increase in the upcoming fortnightly review of petroleum prices. Industry officials say that due to the rise in international crude oil prices, the price of petrol in the country is likely to increase by about 10 PKR per liter.

According to oil industry estimates, the price of petrol is likely to increase from the current price of PKR (Pakistani currency) 279.75 per liter to PKR 289.69 per liter in the next fortnightly review.
Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) is expected to be reduced by PKR 1.30 per liter to PKR 284.26 from the current price of PKR 285.86 per liter, reports Geo News .

Apart from this, there may be a slight decline of 0.17 PKR per liter from the current price of kerosene at PKR 188.66 per liter due to which the price is expected to be at PKR 188.49 per liter.

Similarly, the price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) is likely to increase by PKR 0.45 per liter to PKR 168.63. The current price is 168.18 PKR per liter.

The federal government will announce the final prices on Sunday (March 31) which will be effective from April 1 (Monday). There was no change in petrol prices in the last Fortnightly review while the price of HSD decreased by PKR 1.77 per liter.
