Shravanam Kirtanam Vishno: Smaranam Padasevanam.
Archanam vandanam daasyam sakhyamatmanivedanam ॥
There are so many types of devotion
1. Shravan - This devotion teaches the native to recite the story of God's character and his leela. Apart from this, Shravan Bhakti includes doing bhajan-kirtan.
2. Kirtan - In this devotion, the qualities of the gods and goddesses should be chanted methodically. Also, their qualities should be brought into one's life. This can make the seeker happy in life.
3. Smran - This devotion teaches people to remember the Lord. In Smran Bhakti, it is told about remembering the Lord.
4. Paad-sevanan- Paad -sevanan bhakti is considered to be the best. In this bhakti, the person should surrender himself to the Lord.
5. Archana (Arcanam)- The worship of God and Goddess by using sacred materials is called Archana Bhakti.
6. Vandana - In this, the seeker should worship for eight prahars daily. It is believed that this brings the blessings of God.
7. Dasya - One should worship God every day, considering him as one's master and oneself as his slave.
8. Sakhya - In this devotion, one should offer everything to God, considering him as one's dear friend.
9. Ātma-nivedanam - In this type of devotion, the seeker has to give up his independence and surrender himself to the Lord.
