NIA Raid in Tamil Nadu The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has come into action mode in the Hizb-ut-Tahrir case. In this case, the agency has raided 10 places in Tamil Nadu. This includes two places in Erode district.

Sources of news agency ANI said that the raids are still going on. Let us tell you that in 2021, the NIA had arrested a person after conducting searches at various places in Tamil Nadu in the Madurai Hizb-ut-Tahrir case.
There was a game going on to increase communal tension
The case was initially registered at the Thideer Nagar police station in Madurai city of Tamil Nadu under sections 13(1)(b) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
In the case, Mohammed Iqbal had used his Facebook account 'Thunga Vizhigal Rendu is in Kazimar Street' to upload posts that defamed a particular community. These accounts promoted communal hatred between different religions in a harmful manner.
