Washington: A Mexican cartel member known as 'El Nini' was once on the US most wanted list for his alleged involvement in the fentanyl trade. He has now been successfully extradited. The United States informed CNN.US President Joe Biden celebrated the extradition of 'El Nini', also identified as Nestor Isidro Pérez Salas, in a speech outlining collaborative efforts between the US and Mexico as an important step towards justice.

Biden thanked Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, saying El Nini played a leading role in the notorious Sinaloa Cartel, one of the world's deadliest drug trafficking enterprises. The United States has accused him of his role in illicit fentanyl trafficking and the murders, torture and kidnapping of numerous rivals and witnesses.
