Meerut News: Meerut Police has busted a honey trap gang and arrested several people. All the members of the gang are very clever and after doing recce, they used to trap the person in their net. 7 people from Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut were running a honey trap gang together. The gang used to collect the numbers of those people who are rich or are single and young. 

At night, gang members Sumaiya, a resident of Delhi, posing as Shalu and another woman Ruhina used to make missed calls on the number that was recced. When the other person called after seeing the missed call, he was told sorry and the phone was hung up. But after this, a message or a missed call was made and the conversation continued from here. People were slowly lured into the trap by talking sweetly.

Illegal relations after meeting: 

This gang is very clever, the friendship that started with a missed call would turn into false love and lead to illicit relations. Many times, after the illicit relationship was formed, the demand for money would start. As long as money was coming then it was fine, otherwise the deal of blackmailing would start by threatening to file a rape case or filing a case. Sumaiya and Ruhina's associates would call and threaten the person having illicit relations. If even then someone did not come under control then the game of honey trap would start by filing a rape case in the police station.

The gang that used a young man named Akil to

trap people in a honey trap got caught in its own trap. After trapping a man named Akil, who lives in Kashi in Meerut, in a honey trap, this gang went to Partapur police station to register a rape case. The police got a little suspicious and when the investigation was done, the whole secret was revealed. The woman told her name as Shalu Sharma and when her Aadhar card was asked for, the name in it was Sumaiya. This is where the police got a clue and one by one seven members of the gang were caught.

More than 50 people were made victims of honey trap.

According to the police, this gang has targeted more than 50 people so far. Asif, Firoz, Deepak from Ghaziabad and Faheem and Aniket from Kankarkheda, Meerut were blackmailing people together. Two women, Ruhina and Sumaya, both residents of Delhi, are also a part of this gang. Sumaya would call herself Shalu Sharma and talk on the phone at night and then the conversation would reach to illegal relations and blackmailing would start. Police has arrested these seven people and recovered a Swift car, bike, fake Aadhar card and 7 mobile phones.

Partapur police has exposed this gang of honey trap. SP City Meerut Ayush Vikram Singh said that some videos have also been found in the mobile phones recovered from this gang, while many videos were deleted by the women of the gang. Many important information has been obtained by interrogating the entire gang. We are investigating how many people were targeted and how much money was defrauded. It is also being investigated how many people have been booked for rape after trapping them in honey trap.
