Last night in Maharashtra, due to the leakage of gas from Nikachem Chemical Company located in MIDC premises of Ambarnath near Mumbai, people started complaining of sore throat and burning sensation in the eyes due to the spread of chemical mixture in the air. Between 9 to 12 pm, a fog-like situation was created in Ambarnath city due to the spread of chemical in the air. Fire brigade officials reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

At present, two air monitoring mobile vans of the Air Pollution Control Board are monitoring the air. The reason for the air pollution is being investigated. The situation is under control now. The air is clean. The situation is under control and there is no smoke anywhere in the Ambarnath area, but the air quality control mobile vehicle of the Pollution Board is present at the Nikkem company.
