- It takes 12 years for a person to become a Naga Sadhu. To join the Naga sect, it is very important for a person to know important things about Naga Sadhu. After taking the final vow in Kumbh, the loincloth is discarded, after which they always remain naked in life.
- Naga Sadhus never wear clothes. They keep ashes on their body. They do not wear clothes even in cold weather. They consider themselves messengers of God and meditate on God.
- Naga Sadhus eat only once a day and they beg for food. If they do not get food from 7 houses on some day, they have to remain hungry.
