New Delhi: Amid reports of resentment, Congress MP Kumari Shailja has said in an interview that in case the party wins the elections in Haryana, the high command will decide the chief minister. At the same time, reacting to Shailja's statement, Congress MP Deepender Hooda said that this is the party's process and there is nothing wrong in it. 'The high command will not ignore Shailja'
In an interview with news agency ANI, on the question of the party's CM face in Haryana , Kumari Selja said, 'This is for the high command to answer and they will have to decide. I think Selja will be one of the people under consideration. The high command will look at seniority, work and all these things, so the high command will not ignore Selja in this. My commitment to the party has never been questioned, this is something they know and they have full faith in.'
Deepender Hooda reacted to Shailja's statement
On Kumari Selja's statement that 'the party high command will decide the CM candidate', Congress MP Deepender Hooda said, 'This is the Congress process. There is nothing wrong in it. First, let the results come, let the Congress government be formed and then the high command will decide.' While speaking on this issue, Congress leader Danish Ali said, 'The public has decided in Haryana. Congress is sweeping. A Congress government with more than three-fourth majority is going to be formed in Haryana.'
'Congress is in a very good position in Haryana'
In the interview, Selja said about former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupendra Hooda, "People who remain Chief Minister for 10 years, the media does not see anyone bigger than them. Till 2005, when Bhajanlal was there, he was there. Apart from him, you did not see anyone else because he had been the Chief Minister. But times have changed." She said that she met Rahul Gandhi on Thursday to discuss about the elections and there is nothing to campaign in this. She said that Congress is in a very good position in Haryana and everyone has worked hard for it.
