RSS on Kolkata Case  The whole country is angry over the incident of violence against a female doctor in West Bengal. Now the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has also condemned the rape and murder of the female doctor and called it 'very unfortunate'.  

In the coordination meeting of RSS, the need to review the laws and punitive actions was emphasized to provide speedy justice to women victims of atrocities.

 

Everyone is worried about Kolkata incident: RSS

RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said the rape and murder of a 31-year-old woman doctor at a Kolkata hospital was discussed in detail at the meeting. Ambekar said it was a "very unfortunate incident" and "everyone is worried about it".

He said similar incidents are on the rise in the country. The role of the government, official machinery, laws, punitive action and procedures were also discussed in the meeting.

The process of providing justice to the victim should be expedited

Sunil Ambekar said that he believes that all these cases need to be reconsidered, so that we can follow proper and speedy procedure and provide justice to the victim.

Let us tell you that on August 9, a trainee female doctor was allegedly raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. A civic volunteer has been arrested in the case.
