There is a ruckus over celebrating Holi in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) of Uttar Pradesh. Some students had sought permission for a Holi Milan program in AMU, which was rejected by the university administration. Meanwhile, BJP MP from Aligarh Satish Gautam has given a statement regarding the Holi Milan celebration in AMU. 

Aligarh BJP MP Satish Gautam said that Holi will be celebrated with great pomp in Aligarh Muslim University. No one needs any permission for this. If anyone stops or troubles Hindu students from celebrating Holi, I am there for them. Holi will be celebrated with great pomp in AMU as long as I am here, if anyone beats up the students, he will be sent to jail.

On the controversy of celebrating Holi in AMU, Aligarh BJP MP Satish Gautam said that opposition to Holi only reflects Jinnah's mentality. Jinnah is gone but people with Jinnah's mentality are still present in AMU. Jinnah's image has not yet gone out of their minds, these people are anarchists, what is their mentality. If there is any problem and anyone spreads anarchy, he will be answered in his own language, if he does not understand, he will be sent to the top.

The BJP MP said that this is the new Uttar Pradesh which knows how to treat such people well. I have said that our Hindu brothers and sisters should be allowed to celebrate Holi with great pomp in AMU. Earlier, when Holi was celebrated in AMU, Hindu brothers and sisters were not allowed to celebrate it.
