Ghazipur News Today: The Uttar Pradesh government has handed over the investigation of 4000 madrasas in the state to the ATS, after which the ATS has started investigating the funding of these madrasas. A letter has also been received from the government to the Minority Department of Ghazipur district in this regard.
On the basis of this letter, 11 madrasas of the district have been identified, which have been operating without recognition for more than two decades. The Minority Department has sent the list of these madrasas to ATS for investigation. Now ATS will investigate the funding of these madrasas and send its report to the government.
The department handed over the list to ATS.
District Minority Officer Sachchidanand Tiwari said that the government had asked for a list of such madrasas which are being run without recognition. He said that 11 such madrasas have been identified in Ghazipur, which never took any initiative in the department for recognition of the madrasa and they are continuously running.
Giving information about these madrasas, Ghazipur District Minority Officer said that one of the unrecognised madrasas is Dildarnagar Madrasa, which is being run without recognition since 1962. At present, 262 students are studying in it.
Their funding will be investigated.
Similarly, Arabia Darul Uloom located in Bahriabad of the district also does not have recognition, in which 65 students study and four teachers are doing the teaching work. Quran and Urdu are taught here which runs on public donations. Madrasa Diniya Steamer Ghat which is running since 1931, has 92 students and 9 teachers. It is also run on public donations.
Apart from this, Madrasa Masihul Tajpur Kurra also does not have recognition, 240 students study here and there are five teachers. Urdu is taught in this madrasa and it runs with public support. Madrasa Tegiya Badrul Uloom Tajpur Kurra is running since 2012, there are 80 children and five teachers here.
Madrasa Darul Uloom Togaiya Samasul Uloom Rexha has 36 students and three teachers. Jamia Arabia Hussainabad Dildarnagar Madrasa is running since 1962, there are 244 students and 15 teachers here. Apart from this, Madrasa Islamia Alawalpur Madrasa is running in Kasimabad since 1997, there are 70 students and four teachers here. Quran, Urdu, Hindi and other subjects are also taught in this madrasa.
Madrasas running on donations and public support?
'Bachchon Ka Ghar' Madrasa located in Muslimpur of the district is running since 1999, this madrasa also does not have recognition and currently there are 42 children and four teachers here. 25 children also study in Madrasa Tajwirul Quran Jamalpur Yusufpur and there are two teachers here. Madrasa Jamia Ubaid Diya Mohammadabad Ghazipur is also included in this list, where there are 12 children and two teachers.
The Minority Department has also included Madrasa Arabia Kanjul Uloom Bahriabad in the list sent to ATS. There are 70 children and 6 teachers here. It is being said that all these madrasas are run with donations and public support from the common people. However, the managers of these madrasas have never even applied for recognition.
