This scheme is being promoted on a war footing from 17 September to 21 September. Efforts are being made to open accounts of as many people as possible. Under this scheme, you can avail this facility in any post office in the country, and you can transfer this account anywhere. Parents can deposit up to 1.50 lakh rupees in this account. On which they will get income tax exemption and will not have to pay any tax. By taking advantage of this scheme, you can secure the future of your daughter.

The scheme will run only for 15 years
This scheme can be run only for 15 years. After which it will be completed. One more benefit is also given in this scheme. In which in case of any emergency the guardians can withdraw 50 percent of this amount at any time and the remaining amount will be considered complete on completion of the period, only when the girl child is 18 years old or she has completed high school education. To open this scheme or to take its benefits, to open an account of the girl child in the post office, Aadhar card and photo, Aadhar card of mother, father or guardian, PAN card, passport size photo are required. Along with this the birth certificate of the girl child will also be required.
