Such ration card holders will be able to get ration through mobile OTP. For this, there will be no need for e-POS machine. This system is going to start soon in Kanpur. 

District Supply Officer Rakesh Kumar said that there are many ration card holders who come to get ration and are facing the problem of not being able to get their fingers on the card. Now a new system is being started to solve this problem. With the introduction of this system, ration holders will be able to get ration easily and they will be able to satisfy their hunger. According to District Supply Officer Rakesh Kumar, now the ration holder will have to register his mobile number with the office of the District Supply Officer at the ration shop. So that when he goes to get ration, he will have to tell his number which is registered.

Ration will be available through OTP.
When the ration shopkeeper enters the number given by the person in the e-Pos machine, an OTP will be sent to that mobile number. On telling which, the ration shop operator will give ration to that person. The ration shop operator will enter the OTP given by the ration holder in the e-Pos machine. Let us tell you that there are 8 lakh ration card holders in Kanpur district who take ration from different controls. Which also includes Antyodaya and Grahasti card holders. There are about 7 thousand such card holders who are currently taking ration through OTP. At the same time, as per the instructions issued by the government, ration is being distributed to such people through OTP.
