Hathras.  People of the area have given several reasons for the stampede after the satsang of Surajpal (Narayan Sakar Vishwa Hari) on the side of GT Road-91 in Fullerai village of Sikandrarao. Apart from the message of Sakar Hari to take his feet dust, an exit gate and jostling by the sevadars are also considered to be the reasons.

To know the truth of the accident, the team of the judicial investigation commission talked to people for five hours on Sunday. During this time, statements of 34 people were recorded. During this time people have said that there were not enough arrangements. The team has also recorded statements of SP, DM and other officials. After investigating for two days, the team left for Lucknow late in the evening. The team will return soon to complete the investigation.

121 people have lost their lives in the stampede

121 people lost their lives in this accident that happened on 2nd July. On the second day of its investigation, the team of the judicial commission called the people of the area and the relatives of the victims to give statements or evidence. For this, Aadhar cards were demanded from the people who came to the PWD guest house on Aligarh Road. The employees recorded their names and addresses in a register. Their mobile phones were kept outside. After searching them, they were sent in front of the team. The process of recording statements one after the other continued till 2 pm in the afternoon.

The convoy did not go the other way

Among those who gave statements, there were some people from Mughalgarhi, Hathras and Mursan villages adjacent to Phulrai, besides Saadabad. Many people also told the team that if Sakar Vishwa Hari's convoy had been taken through another route, the accident would not have happened. Some accused the members of the organizing committee of not making arrangements. Statements of officials were recorded in this matter on Saturday night.

This team includes former Allahabad High Court judge Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, former IAS officer Hemant Rao and former IPS officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh. They have to submit the report in two months.

Taking dust from the feet was the reason for the accident

Sudhir Pratap of Mughalgarhi told the team that the reason for the accident was the devotees taking dust from the feet of Narayan Sakar Hari. When the public ran, there was a stampede. The convoy of Sakar Vishwa Hari was being taken out from the same gate from which the crowd came out. Seeing the crowd, the sevadars pushed each other, which led to the accident.

When the crowd ran to collect the dust, a stampede occurred

Deva Pahalwan of Mursan said that if Sakar Hari had wanted, the accident would not have happened, but he told the devotees to take his feet dust while leaving, so that all the troubles go away. As soon as the crowd ran to take the dust, there was a stampede. After the accident, we sent the injured to the hospital.

Mukesh Kumar from Mursan said that he was passing through this road on the day this incident happened. I stopped when I saw a stampede. I saw that many corpses were lying around in the stampede. Many women and children were crying for treatment. I brought some injured people to the hospital in my car so that they could get treatment.
