• Install the idol of Lord Hanuman on an altar.
• Make them take a bath with Ganga water.
• Offer vermillion and jasmine oil.
• Offer flowers, fruits, and sweets.
• Recite Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Baan, and Hanuman Ashtak.
• Perform Aarti with devotion.
• On this day, recitation of Akhand Ramayana is also considered auspicious.
• Finally, apologize for any mistakes made during the puja.

Why does Hanuman Jayanti come twice a year?

Hanuman Janmotsav comes twice a year. In North India, Hanuman Janmotsav is celebrated on Chaitra Purnima. It is said that Hanuman ji was born on this day. Whereas, in South India, Hanuman Janmotsav is celebrated on Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi. The belief behind this is that on this day, Goddess Sita blessed Lord Hanuman to be immortal.
