Meerut News: The illegal business of gas refilling was going on amidst the dense population of Meerut. There was also a petrol pump at a distance of 400 meters. The lives of thousands of people were being put at stake for a few coins. It was a blessing that no accident happened, otherwise there is no need to tell what would have happened. After receiving information from an informer, the police raided and exposed the illegal business of gas refilling.
Gas was being stolen from domestic gas cylinders in Golakuan of Kotwali police station area of Meerut. Empty commercial cylinders were being refilled. This illegal business was going on for who knows how long. When SP City Ayush Vikram got the information, he formed a police team and took action. CO Kotwali Ashutosh Kumar, SO Kotwali Yogendra Kumar reached the spot where gas refilling was going on. On seeing the police force, the gas refillers tried to run away, but the police caught two people from the spot and brought them to the police station.
The police were shocked when they found 176 gas cylinders kept in an illegal gas refilling factory. Commercial gas cylinders were being made by stealing gas from domestic gas cylinders. The biggest thing is that the place where the gas refilling factory was running, Dilshad and Naeem were refilling the gas. On enquiry, it was found that Shah Mohammad, a resident of Azad Nagar, is the head of this illegal business. The police have also raided to arrest him.
SP City said, strict action will be taken
Meerut's SP City Ayush Vikram Singh says that based on the information of the informer, the Kotwali police raided. We have found 176 gas cylinders. Some of these are commercial and the rest are domestic. Here this gang was stealing gas from domestic gas cylinders and refilling it in commercial gas cylinders and selling it in the market. Who all are involved in this gang and how so many cylinders reached this house together is a matter of investigation. Two people have been arrested.
