Greater Noida Viral Fire Video: A fire broke out in Annapurna Girls Hostel located in the Knowledge Park police station area in Greater Noida on Thursday evening, due to which the entire campus was filled with smoke. The fire department team brought the fire under control in about an hour by safely evacuating 40 girl students trapped inside.

There were about 160 girl students in the hostel at the time of the incident. It is suspected that the fire started due to the bursting of the AC compressor. Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey said that the fire was reported at around 5:25 pm on Thursday, after which the department's team immediately reached the spot.

He said that due to the fire, a lot of smoke spread in the hostel, due to which there was panic among the girls present there. The fire brigade team immediately started the rescue operation and evacuated 40 girl students trapped inside safely through the stairs.

It is being told that the fire started due to bursting of the AC compressor installed in a room on the second floor of the hostel. Chaubey said that the fire department is finding out the exact cause of the fire. Samajwadi Party also reacted to this incident.
