An important conference is going to be held in Switzerland amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Russia has not been invited to this conference. Russian President Vladimir Putin has reacted regarding this.

'Ukraine Peace Summit' is going to be held in Switzerland in June this year. Regarding this, Putin said that Russia has not been invited to this conference.

In a meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, Putin said, 'We have not been invited there. They believe that we have nothing to do there. But at the same time, they also say that it is impossible to decide anything without us. And since we are not going there, it is a complete circus.

He said, 'I want to emphasize that we also want peace, but do not try to impose any such plan on us, which has nothing to do with reality.'

The Swiss government had said on April 10 that a two-day summit would be organized in June to achieve peace in Ukraine. However, Russia has made it clear that it will not participate in this summit. Putin says that he wants Belarus to once again play the role of mediator between Russia and Ukraine.

Earlier, Kremlin (Presidential Office of Russia) spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had said that without Russia, there is no point in any discussion on Ukraine.

The war continues from 24 February 2022

The war between Russia and Ukraine continues from 24 February 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin had declared war against Ukraine by calling it a 'special military operation'. Two days before the war, Putin had declared Donetsk and Luhansk of Donbas as independent nations. Before this war, Ukraine wanted to join the military organization NATO.
