Janmashtami Puja Method
On the day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, wake up in Brahma Muhurta and start the day by meditating on the gods and goddesses. After this, take a bath and offer water to the Sun God. Now clean the temple and place the idol of Lord Krishna on the pedestal . Perform Abhishek with Gangajal, Panchamrit and other things as per the rituals. Apply a tilak of Gopi Chandan. Decorate Kanha and offer a garland of flowers. Light a lamp of desi ghee and perform Aarti and chant mantras. Offer butter-sugar and fruits etc. to the Lord.
