Bulldozer Action in Delhi: Illegal parking and encroachment in Yamunapar is not limited to markets and main roads. The offices of the officers are also in the grip of encroachment. There is encroachment by hawkers on the service road outside the District Magistrate's office in Nand Nagri.
The problem of illegal parking on the footpath and road adjacent to the office is also quite serious. Traffic is affected due to illegal parking and encroachment. There is also traffic jam on the road. The surprising thing is that the District Officer passes through this road several times a day, but he is not aware of the problem.
Thousands of people come to the office
Nand Nagri District Office is located on Gagan Cinema Road. Every day thousands of people come here to get their necessary documents made and for suggestions related to administration. In such a situation, there is no legal parking facility here. Due to lack of which people park their vehicles on the footpath and service road.
Due to this, even the pedestrians passing by have to face difficulties. The situation is such that the service road and footpath here remain surrounded from 10 am to 5 pm. Security personnel are also present outside the office, but they do not say anything to anyone.
The office is surrounded by street vendors
Outside the Nand Nagri district office, 15-20 hawkers start occupying the space from early morning. Due to their encroachment and illegal parking of vehicles, there is a jam from Gagan Cinema to Sundar Nagri during most of the day. People allege that when an officer comes out of the office, there is no jam. But there is no arrangement for the common people.
In this regard, a senior officer of the Municipal Corporation says that the corporation is continuing its campaign against encroachment in Shahdara North Zone. Action is being taken by identifying the places with heavy encroachment and illegal parking. Soon, action will be taken outside the District Magistrate's office as well and strict instructions will be given to the licensing inspector and police so that encroachment does not happen again.
