SP-RLD reputation battle
How much truth is there in the claims of RLD chief and Union Minister of State Jayant Chaudhary and SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav in the by-election held on Meerapur assembly seat, its picture will be clear tomorrow. Meerapur seat is also being seen in connection with the reputation of Jayant Chaudhary.
In the 2022 assembly elections, there was an alliance between SP and RLD, then Chandan Chauhan became MLA from RLD. In the Lok Sabha elections , he was elected MP from Bijnor after which this seat became vacant. Jayant Chaudhary wants to save his reputation by winning this seat. This time RLD has formed an alliance with BJP.
Samajwadi Party is also trying its best to win the Meerapur seat and is engaged in defeating Jayant Chaudhary in every way. Before the 2027 assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav wants to give a big message in the west by winning this seat. It will be interesting to see who will win between RLD BJP candidate Mithlesh Pal and SP candidate Sumbul Rana.
These candidates will also give a tough fight.
The fate of all 11 candidates on the Meerapur assembly seat will be decided tomorrow, but all eyes are on the candidates of the five main parties. Apart from RLD and SP, candidates of Azad Samaj Party, AIMIM and BSP also put in their best efforts.
MP Chandrashekhar Azad put in all his efforts in the field of Meerapur for his candidate Zahid Hussain several times. Asaduddin Owaisi also campaigned vigorously for his candidate Arshad Rana, where he tried to turn the election atmosphere in his favour with his sharp words in a large public meeting.
BSP supremo Mayawati fielded Shah Nazar, but no big leader of BSP was seen in the field. Even Mayawati herself did not hold any rally or road show, but the candidates of all three parties made the contest interesting with their claims and propaganda.
Kakaroli remained the center point
On the day of voting for Meerapur by-election, Kakaroli village remained the center point of politics throughout the day. Sometimes due to stone pelting and sometimes due to the inspector pointing his pistol. From morning to evening, many news kept coming from Kakaroli. Sometimes there were many news of voters being prevented from voting, and sometimes the video of AIMIM candidate Arshad Rana's son being detained and the police clashing with him also went viral. How much impact all these incidents had on the Meerapur election, it will be clear tomorrow.
