Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh Waqf Board Chairman Dr Salim Raj has received a threatening call from abroad. Death threats have also been sent via email. Salim Raj said that he will not be intimidated by threats. Salim Raj has also received threats from separatist organizations of Jammu and Kashmir.
He has lodged an FIR in the police station. The Wakf Board Chairman had recently issued instructions to the Mutwallis of mosques. According to the instructions, the Mutwallis will now give information about the sermons being held in mosques to the Wakf Board.
After the Wakf Board's order was issued, a case of death threat to Salim Raj has come to light. He said that he has received threats of cutting him six inches shorter and beheading him. The Wakf Board Chairman said, "I will not let mosques become a political arena and I am not scared of threats." He alleged that the Mutawalli had instigated the crowd to pelt stones at the policemen in Sambhal. He said, "During the speech, the Mutawalli instigated the crowd. Had this not happened, the incident could have been stopped. The Mutawalli is making mosques a centre of politics. Political discussions should not take place in mosques."
Wakf Board chairman receives death threat
He supported the demand of saints and sages to form a Sanatan Board. The Waqf Board Chairman said that it is very important to form a Sanatan Board. It is a question of faith of crores of Hindus. Dr. Salim Raj further said that whether Hindu or Muslim, there should be no problem in saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai or Vande Mataram. Every person should have love for the nation. He advised Muslims to say Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai, saying that the nation comes first. Salim Raj said that Owaisi shines in politics in the name of Muslims.
