Meerut. Finally, success was achieved in reviving the 76-year-old mother of Subodh Kumar, a soldier working in the Indian Army, Saroj, who had almost stopped breathing.
This success has been achieved due to the continuous treatment and commitment of 56 days of the physicians, anaesthetists, ENT, nursing officers and paramedical staff of the Sainik Hospital located in Meerut Cantonment.
After the treatment, when she remained healthy for about 10 days without any oxygen and additional mechanical support, when she came home from the hospital on Friday, the joy of success in winning life was visible in the eyes of the medical team and a lot of blessings were visible for that team in the eyes of Saroj.
was recruited in April
According to the doctors treating Saroj, he was admitted to the hospital on April 19. He was having breathing problems and his lungs were functioning at less than 50 percent.
As soon as he was admitted to the hospital, he was put on a ventilator in the ICU. Treatment was started by providing mechanical support to his kidneys, lungs and brain. Despite being on the ventilator for more than a month, his condition did not improve and his breathing became difficult. So, his throat had to be operated and a tube was inserted and he was put on the machine and his breathing was maintained through the breathing tube.
The team left no stone unturned
The team of Sainik Hospital left no stone unturned in helping Saroj breathe again as he was suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This disease is related to the lungs and causes breathing problems.
During the 56-day long treatment, her oxygen support was removed 10 days ago. Other parts of her body were also tested without any support. With the support of the entire hospital, she came out of the machine and after everything being normal for 10 days, today she is with her family.
