Attempts by Bangladeshi people to infiltrate into India are continuing. Their morale is increasing so much that they are even attacking BSF soldiers. In fact, Bangladeshi intruders have once again tried to cross the border by violently attacking the India-Bangladesh international border in the South Bengal frontier in Nadia district of West Bengal. The brave soldiers posted at the border outpost Mahendra of the 194th battalion of BSF on the India-Bangladesh international border bravely faced this deadly attack. Despite adverse conditions, the brave soldiers maintained restraint and foiled the plans of the intruders. When forced by the criminals, the soldiers fired in self-defense and drove all the intruders back to Bangladesh. In a courageous and successful attempt to thwart this attempt of forced infiltration, a BSF soldier was also seriously injured in the attack by the criminals.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, on the night of April 3, at around 02:15, during the second shift duty at Border Outpost Mahendra of the 194th Battalion of the BSF located on the India-Bangladesh International Border, the jawans noticed the movement of some suspicious armed Bangladeshi intruders. These intruders were rapidly moving towards the fencing of the border. The jawan posted on the border immediately showed alertness and warned his fellow jawans and challenged the intruders to stop. These Bangladeshi intruders ignored the warning and continued to move rapidly. Realizing the gravity of the situation and avoiding the use of unnecessary force, the jawan fired a round of PAG with the aim of stopping and dispersing them. But it had no effect on the criminals and instead, the intruders surrounded the jawan with the intention of disabling him and attacked him on the head from different directions with sharp weapons. The jawan was seriously injured in the attack. Other jawans on duty during the incident, who were at a distance of about 100-125 meters, immediately rushed to the spot for assistance. Seeing the alertness of the fearless BSF jawans and their increasing numbers, the intruders panicked and taking advantage of the darkness, fled towards Bangladesh.

The condition of the jawan is stable

The injured soldier in the attack by Bangladeshi intruders was immediately taken to the nearest health center, Bagula and provided first aid. After this, the injured soldier was transferred to Krishnanagar District Hospital by the medical officer of the 194th battalion, where his condition remains stable. Apart from this, in another incident, Bangladeshi intruders also tried to infiltrate the border post Sundar of the same battalion, which was foiled by the vigilant soldiers of the border post. A primary report is being registered in the concerned police station regarding the attack and the firing done in defense.

Such incidents are not uncommon on the line of duty- BSF spokesperson

The spokesperson of BSF South Bengal Frontier said on the incident that such incidents are not unusual on our path of duty. BSF jawans are performing their duties with extraordinary courage, vigilance and restraint. Despite warnings and requests to Border Guard Bangladesh through various means about forceful infiltration and attacks by Bangladeshi criminals, there has been no reduction in the efforts of Bangladeshi criminals. The spokesperson said that the criminals have misinterpreted every possible abstinence of our jawans from firing live rounds to avoid unnecessary loss of life and property and are testing our patience. It is certain that our jawans are capable of protecting the borders and ensuring the security of the nation in all circumstances.
