Aligarh News: In Aligarh, poverty has been seen helpless in front of bullying, where the bully has illegally occupied the cremation ground land, while after the death of the poor gol gappa seller, his pyre was taken to the cremation ground of the village itself, but the bullies had already illegally occupied it. The bullies are earning a lot of money by growing crops there, due to which the helplessness of the poor was clearly visible and the bier was carried on the shoulders for 6 kilometers, after which the body was cremated in the cremation ground of another village.

The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered that land mafias should be demolished. The government is constantly sending land mafias to jail. Government lands are being freed from the clutches of land mafias in the state. Despite this, the land mafias were seen being very aggressive in Aligarh and they were not even allowed to burn a pyre in the crematorium.

Illegal occupation of cremation ground land by land mafia

The Yogi government has ordered that if there is any illegal occupation of government land anywhere, it should be vacated immediately, but despite this, people are illegally occupying the Chak Road and cremation ground land in villages. Such cases come up in the Samadhan Diwas held in police stations and the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas held in tehsils. Senior officers instruct subordinates, but despite this, the solution of such problems of the people of some villages seems to be far away.

Two yards of land was not available to burn the pyre

The latest example of this is from Gangagarhi village of Iglas tehsil. Here, 45-year-old Kalicharan, who died of illness on Monday night, could not get even two yards of land for his pyre in the cremation ground of his village. On Tuesday morning, when he reached the cremation ground with the body, he saw that paddy crop was flourishing there. He was forced to take the body to the cremation ground of Besawa, about six km away from the village, and perform the last rites.

The pyre was lit in the cremation ground of another village

Radha Shyam, a resident of Gangagarhi village, said that Kalicharan used to support his family by selling golgappas. He does not have a single piece of land in his name in the village. He was ill for a long time. He died on Monday night due to illness. When they reached the crematorium on Tuesday for the last rites, paddy crop was standing there, due to which the body was taken to another village and cremated. The villagers who came to Besawa with the body said that a complaint has been lodged in this regard.

What do the officials say?

Shashvat Tripurari, trainee IAS SDM Iglas said that the matter of growing crops on the cremation ground land has come to notice. An inquiry will be conducted by sending a Lekhpal in this regard. If encroachment is found on the cremation ground land in the village, action will be taken against the concerned person.
