News Topical, Digital Desk : After the Supreme Court rejected Vodafone Idea's petition to waive off its AGR dues, the company is now left with no legal option. Reacting to this decision, senior Supreme Court lawyer HP Ranina said that this was just a review petition, which was bound to be rejected. According to Ranina, this petition was a review petition on the original decision, and the Supreme Court has already given its final decision in the AGR case. In such a situation, the court had no option but to dismiss the petition.

Legal recourse is now completely shut-

Ranina clearly said that Legal recourse is completely shut. Nothing more can be done on the legal front. This means that now Vodafone Idea cannot get any relief legally.

Only one way of relief - According to HP Ranina, now the only solution is that the government itself should intervene in this matter and provide relief. He said Govt can provide relief if it wants to. If the government does not do anything then... If govt doesn't provide relief, the telcos have to pay up. That is, if help is not received from the government, then the telecom companies will have to pay the AGR dues - no matter how big it is. Overall- After the Supreme Court's decision in the AGR case, Vodafone Idea is now completely dependent on the mercy of the government. The legal battle is now over and if financial relief is not received, then both the financial condition and existence of the company can be in danger.
