Yogi government will honour hard work and talent, awards will be given in the annual function of schools.
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is taking monumental steps to recognize, nurture, and celebrate the hidden potential of children studying in government council schools. Ensuring that hard work, academic brilliance, and multifaceted talents receive the public appreciation they deserve, the state government has outlined a comprehensive framework under the 2026-27 annual action plan. As part of this initiative, grand prize distribution ceremonies and annual functions will be organized across 1,31,918 council schools throughout the state, providing a prestigious platform for students to shine.
Celebrating Excellence in Academics, Sports, and Attendance Between February and March 2027
The upcoming school-level annual festivals and award ceremonies are scheduled to take place between February 15, 2027, and March 15, 2027. To foster a deep sense of community connection and institutional pride, local Gram Panchayat representatives, school management committee members, and parents will be personally invited—with invitations creatively crafted and delivered by the students themselves. Recognition will be distributed across multiple categories: top-performing boys and girls from every class, students with the highest attendance records, and high achievers in sports, cultural events, and co-curricular competitions. Furthermore, parents of exceptional students and proactive School Management Committee members will be honored to bridge the gap between families and educational institutions.
Thoughtful Student Awards and Robust Multi-Tier State Monitoring System
To make the events memorable and encouraging, schools are authorized to procure practical utility items as prizes, including lunch boxes, water bottles, drawing notebooks, geometry boxes, stationery, watercolors, and inspirational storybooks or biographies of great personalities. Parents will be felicitated with traditional mementos, shawls, or eco-friendly green plants. To guarantee absolute transparency and seamless execution, the Yogi administration has established a rigorous multi-tier monitoring mechanism extending from the school level to state oversight, involving inspections by DIET faculty, Assistant Directors of Education, District Basic Education Officers, and Academic Resource Persons (ARPs).
