UP-Japan Meet: Yogi Leads New Delhi CEO Roundtable

To strengthen the industrial partnership between Uttar Pradesh and Japan, a high-level CEO roundtable session of the "UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026" is scheduled to take place at the Taj Palace in New Delhi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alongside senior central and state government ministers and officials, will engage with top executives from Japan's leading industrial groups. Running through August 23, the multi-day event hosts over 200 Japanese industrialists, CEOs, and policymakers, with the Japanese delegation led by Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, to showcase the state's progressive business policies and investment landscape.

High-Level Discussions on Green Hydrogen, Semiconductors, and Infrastructure

The premier event opens with a formal session in the Durbar Hall, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will honor executives of Japanese companies currently operating within the state. A comprehensive video presentation will showcase Uttar Pradesh's rapid strides in infrastructure and industrial growth, setting the stage for collaborative dialogues. Chaired by the Chief Minister, the roundtable will explore future industrial opportunities across high-impact sectors, including green hydrogen, renewable energy, electric mobility, semiconductors, advanced materials, automotive components, and digital infrastructure.

Virtual Groundbreaking for ₹3,191 Crore Projects and 500-Acre 'Japanese City' Showcase

A major highlight of the meet will be a virtual groundbreaking ceremony for prominent Japanese investments, headlined by Escorts Kubota and Minda Corporation. Escorts Kubota’s investment of approximately ₹2,025 crore in the YEIDA region is projected to generate over 3,800 jobs, while Minda Corporation’s twin projects represent an investment of ₹1,166 crore with an estimated 6,440 employment opportunities. Together, these initiatives account for a combined investment of ₹3,191 crore, expected to create over 10,000 jobs and significantly bolster the regional manufacturing ecosystem. Furthermore, officials will present the blueprint for a proposed 500-acre "Japan City" within the YEIDA corridor, designed as an integrated industrial enclave to foster supply chain integration, technological exchange, and sustainable industrial growth under the vision of a trillion-dollar economy.
