The maps of these industries will not be approved by the Municipal Corporation and Nagar Panchayats
News Topical, Digital Desk : To control pollution, the UP government has prohibited municipal councils and town panchayats from approving maps for hazardous and dangerous industries. The government has issued clear instructions that it will not approve any maps that could cause problems in the future.
Principal Secretary Housing P Guruprasad has issued a government order and sent the instructions. It has been said in it that the map of industries causing water and air pollution, hazardous waste will not be passed in the areas of Nagar Palika Parishad and Nagar Panchayats. It has also been said in the government order that while passing the map in the National Capital Region, it will be mandatory to follow the provisions of the sub-regional plan of NCR UP. While passing the map in places where there is no wide road, it will be made mandatory to leave land on both sides of the center line of the road for necessary road widening.
Arbitrariness will not be tolerated in getting the map passed
In the Nagar Panchayat and Nagar Palika Parishad areas falling in the areas included in the development area and regulated area, the approval of the map will be considered on the basis of merits and demerits. The Housing Department has made it clear that no arbitrariness should be done in the approval of the map, which may encourage illegal construction in the cities. While approving the map, the Building Development Bye-laws-2025 will be strictly followed. The map will be approved only on the basis of the provisions given in it and all the necessary facts will be examined.
Illegal building construction to be tightened
The government has directed the development authorities to crack down on illegal buildings constructed in cities. All the vice-presidents of the development authorities in the state have been directed to launch a campaign and identify such buildings which are constructed against the standards. Such building owners should be given notice and directed to rectify the deficiencies. Buildings constructed without map approval will be sealed and such building owners should be given notice and warned. Along with this, it has also been directed that illegal construction in cities will be stopped with immediate effect and those for which demolition orders have been passed should be demolished.
A map of one thousand hectares of land of ten villages was sent to Lucknow.
On the other hand, for the construction of an industrial corridor from Bhamora in Bareilly to Kasganj, UPDA has identified the land of farmers in ten villages, including Bhamora, west of the Kasganj railway line. Lekhpals prepared a map of 1,000 hectares of land in Bhamora, Kuddha, Pakhurni, Makarandpur Tarachand, Matki Chandpur, Bhikampur, Hazratpur, Khuli, Yusufpur, and Bharatana, and sent it to UPDA Lucknow.
