Semiconductor Push and Key Industry Delegations to Visit State Tech Hubs
Cooperation in the semiconductor sector emerged as a central pillar of the dialogue. The Japanese envoy highlighted that semiconductors were designated among the five core priority domains of India-Japan economic security cooperation during Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi's official visit to India in July 2026. Expanding Japan City in Noida and Large-Scale Industrial Footprints
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored that Uttar Pradesh provides a robust industrial ecosystem supported by extensive connectivity, improved logistics, and vast consumer markets suitable for both MSMEs and global conglomerates. Japan City in Noida has transformed into a strategic industrial anchor, housing existing manufacturing footprints from global Japanese brands including Yamaha, Denso, NTT Data, Toyo Inc., and Panasonic. Furthermore, equipment major Kubota is expanding operations near Japan City for tractor and construction machinery production, boosting local supplier supply chains.
Technical Skill Pipelines and Overseas Employment Pathways for Youth
Addressing Japan's demographic transition and rising demand for skilled technical professionals, the state administration outlined plans to train local youth in Japanese language proficiency, precision manufacturing protocols, agriculture engineering, and geriatric healthcare. State-run technical institutes will collaborate with Japanese industry frameworks to prepare qualified human resources for career deployments in Japan.
