CM Yogi Slams Akhilesh Over 'Love for Infiltrators' in Bithoor
Delivering an uncompromising political broadside on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in the historic township of Bithoor, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mounted a fierce offensive against the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress, charging both opposition outfits with practicing deep-seated appeasement, dynastic nepotism, and harboring criminal syndicates while historically neglecting India’s civilizational heritage. Taking a direct and caustic swipe at Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister declared that while one might easily inherit political power and a ancestral throne, wisdom, administrative intellect, and public vision cannot be passed down through lineage, demanding instead relentless groundwork, discipline, and personal sweat. Intensifying his confrontation, Adityanath sharply questioned Yadav's vocal sympathy for illegal Bangladeshi and Pakistani infiltrators, asserting that undocumented immigrants directly siphon away the subsidized rations, civic resources, and constitutional welfare entitlements meant for the country’s poorest and most vulnerable citizens, reaffirming that his administration remains unyielding in securing welfare strictly for eligible beneficiaries.
Removals, Riots, and Lawlessness: CM Yogi Recalls SP Era from Muzaffarnagar to Mathura
The Chief Minister did not hold back in scrutinizing the administrative record of the previous Samajwadi Party regime, recounting how its tenure was defined by pervasive lawlessness, institutional decay, and symbolic erasures of national pride. Citing executive decisions taken by the SP government in 2012, Adityanath highlighted how multiple administrative districts and premier state institutions across Bhadohi, Kannauj, and Lucknow were stripped of identities commemorating revered historical figures, noting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had since restored these rightful honors. Turning squarely to the state’s security history prior to 2017, the Chief Minister pointed out the devastation wrought by the Muzaffarnagar communal riots, the deadly armed insurrection at Jawahar Bagh in Mathura, and tragic episodes involving the murder of duty-bound police officers under state protection, reminding the public that farmers, business owners, and everyday citizens previously lived under perpetual dread. Invoking Kanpur's rich legacy of nationalist defiance, communal harmony, and the ultimate martyrdom of crusading journalist Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi alongside references to local representative Rahul Bachcha Sonkar's family, the Chief Minister underscored that zero-tolerance crackdowns have permanently dismantled mafia impunity across Uttar Pradesh.
Heritage Revamp and ₹411-Crore Bithoor Blueprint: From Ayodhya to Brahmavarta Ghat
Turning his focus to cultural restoration, Yogi Adityanath castigated opposition parties for their past resistance to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, noting that those who obstructed sacred projects fundamentally failed to comprehend the profound spiritual faith of the masses. Highlighting the transformative development driven across Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, and Prayagraj under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister positioned the rejuvenation of Bithoor—including the Maharishi Valmiki Ashram and the sacred Brahmavarta Ghat—as an integral extension of this civilizational revival. Translating spiritual reverence into public infrastructure, the Chief Minister officially dedicated and laid foundation stones for 48 vital regional projects worth approximately ₹411 crore, comprising 29 inaugurated works and 19 newly initiated foundation layings designed to bolster riverfront tourism, pilgrim facilities, and road connectivity. Underscoring that governance must honor founding fathers like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through action rather than rhetoric, Adityanath concluded his address by affirming that welfare delivery under schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas, Ujjwala, and free ration distribution will continue reaching all citizens without discrimination, flanked by Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan, State Minister Pratibha Shukla, Member of Parliament Ramesh Awasthi, Bithoor MLA Abhijeet Singh Sanga, and senior regional leaders.
