CM Yogi Adityanath Slams Akhilesh Yadav Over JPNIC Corruption, Warns Samajwadi Party of Janata Dal-Like Collapse

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a blistering attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav during a high-profile public meeting in Deoria. Addressing a large gathering, CM Yogi exposed alleged massive financial corruption surrounding the Jayaprakash Narayan International Center (JPNIC) in Lucknow, accusing the previous opposition regime of conspiring to divert public funds and project earnings into private family hands.

Exposing the JPNIC Financial Scandal and Cost Escalation

Unpacking the financial discrepancies of the JPNIC project, CM Yogi revealed that while the initial estimated cost stood at approximately 200 crore rupees, the Samajwadi Party government ended up spending a staggering 864 crore rupees, leaving the project incomplete. The Chief Minister noted that an additional 150 to 200 crore rupees of public money will now be required to finish it.

Accusing Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, and their associates of treating state coffers like a private family enterprise, CM Yogi claimed there was a deliberate conspiracy to lease JPNIC to private companies so that revenues could be siphoned off for personal benefit. He stated that the SP leadership owes a direct apology to the youth of Uttar Pradesh for plundering funds that could have otherwise funded massive educational and infrastructural growth.

Law and Order, Women's Welfare, and Governance

Shifting focus to the state's broader transformation, CM Yogi highlighted the robust law and order environment established under the BJP government, noting that riots and targeted violence are now things of the past. He also pointed to citizen-centric welfare achievements, such as providing free bus travel for women and an accompanying person across UP Roadways buses for three days during Raksha Bandhan.

Taking a sharp dig at the opposition leadership’s political habits, the Chief Minister remarked on how opposition figures only wake up to criticize development initiatives after major policies are announced. He contrasted past insecurity—where parents feared for the safety of daughters and children walked to school barefoot prior to 2017—with the current secure, progressive environment.

Empowering Youth Through Digital Tablets and Jobs

Reiterating his administration's unwavering focus on youth empowerment, CM Yogi announced major upcoming milestones:

• Digital Empowerment: The state cabinet has approved the procurement and upcoming distribution of 2.5 million tablets to support students and digital learners.

• Employment Milestones: Over 950,000 government jobs have been successfully delivered over the past nine years, with new recruitment drives targeting one lakh additional jobs in the coming months.
