On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath severely criticized those trying to stop the construction of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Chief Minister, CM Yogi Adityanath visited the Ram Nagari on Friday and presented it with projects worth more than 378 crore. He inaugurated/laid the foundation stone of 126 development works including a Government Ayurvedic college and hospital, and unveiled the statue of soldier Jhalkari Bai. During this, the Chief Minister exposed the opposition parties including the Samajwadi Party, also mentioning the investigation of SIT in the theft of offerings from Ram temple and explained that Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav is a supporter of Babur. According to CM Yogi, when Manoj Kumar Pandey said, as a Samajwadi Party MLA, that everyone should go to Ayodhya to see Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, he (Akhilesh Yadav) immediately stopped him. It is quite clear that he does not support Lord Shri Ram, he is a supporter of Babur. He said that while the Congress kept questioning the existence of Lord Shri Ram and opposing the construction of Ram temple for years, whereas during the Samajwadi Party government, the firing and lathi-charge was conducted by killing devotees of Ram and Kar Sevaks while shouting Jai Shri Ram. It is clear from their standards, in how many cases the then opposition was given firing for chanting Ram. The Congress government was always busy stopping Ram Janmabhoomi from being constructed; even senior lawyers were appointed in the Supreme Court by Congress to interfere with the work in Ram Janmabhoomi. He asked whether this does not mean that nowadays these same leaders are talking about respecting the devotees of Ram, Yogi Adityanath explained in his statement. CM Yogi also stated that the firing on chantingJai Shri Ram during the Samajwadi Party rule was conducted on everyone who dared to do so in state by SP govt.

The Chief Minister remarked that in the last 12 years, following the principle of 'India First' has become the very basis of governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In every policy, every decision and every resolve, a spirit for 'India First' has become the soul. This spirit strengthened the country's border security; and not only enhanced its grandeur and power, it was also instrumental in transforming the lives of crores of poor, along with regaining lost respect and self-pride in the country and around the world. India, brimming with self-confidence, proud of its self-identity and progressing with the resolution of 'developed India', is a manifestation of this 'India First' sentiment.
