A transformative tourism initiative is underway in Uttar Pradesh as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially orders a comprehensive survey to develop a magnificent tourism corridor along the banks of the Ganges in Bulandshahr. Spanning a picturesque 65-kilometer stretch across the Syana, Anupshahr, and Dibai tehsils, this ambitious project aims to connect a sacred chain of mythological and historical religious sites dating back to the Mahabharata era.
Revitalizing Ancient Heritage Along the Sacred Ganges
The upcoming Ganga Corridor encompasses some of the region's most revered spiritual landmarks, creating an uninterrupted trail of faith and history. The designated route weaves through significant sites such as the Mandav Rishi Ashram, Guru Gorakshanath Siddha Baba Ashram, Ambakeshwar Mahadev Temple, Baba Kharak Singh Gurudwara, Mata Avantika Devi Temple, Bhrigu Rishi Ashram, Karna Ghat, Maa Kalyani Devi Temple, and the revered Belon Mata Temple in Dibai. Over recent years, infrastructural progress—including over ₹100 crore invested in road widening and ₹20 crore dedicated to temple beautification—has already laid a strong foundation for this monumental development.
Boosting Regional Tourism and Economic Growth
The formal survey directed by the state administration marks a crucial step toward translating regional tourism potential into a world-class pilgrimage destination. By constructing a robust seven-meter-wide connecting road and upgrading infrastructure around ancient ashrams and temples, the corridor will dramatically ease travel for devotees while stimulating economic opportunities and job creation across local communities.
