News Topical, Digital Desk : A box office clash has unfolded between Ayushmann Khurrana's horror comedy "Thama" and Harshvardhan Rane's love story drama "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat." Released during the Diwali festive season, both films made strong claims in terms of earnings.

How much did a crazy person's madness earn?

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was released on October 21st, alongside Thama. This romantic film is directed by Anshul Garg. Actress Sonam Bajwa also stars in the film alongside Harshvardhan Rane, who won fans' hearts with Sanam Teri Kasam. Looking at its sixth-day box office collection, according to a report by SacNilk, the film grossed  approximately 6.75 crore rupees last Sunday.

Budget – 30 crores

Total collection – 45 crores

With this, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat's total earnings have now reached close to 45 crore rupees (approximately $45 million) during its extended opening weekend. The film's budget is reportedly around 30 crore rupees (approximately $30 million), and on this basis, Harshvardhan Rane's film has already climbed the ladder of success. Thus, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has made its mark at the box office. 

Thama created a stir at the box office

Compared to Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Ayushmann Khurrana's Thama has been a box office sensation. As a major production from Maddock Films, this horror comedy thoroughly entertained audiences. Thama collected ₹12.6 crore on its sixth day of release  .

Budget – 145 crores

Total collection – 91.3 crores

With this, the film's total box office earnings during its extended opening weekend have reached 91.3 crore rupees . The film is expected to soon surpass the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office. Surprisingly, however, in these six days, Thama has failed to recover its budget, which is estimated to be  145 crore rupees .
