Sunny Deol's film Jaat was released on the big screen on April 10. It has been almost a week since the film's release today. This action entertainer had a good start at the box office, but now the film is in the news due to controversies.

Demonstration is being held regarding the film

The film is being criticized due to one of its church scenes. Actually, there is a scene in the film in which Randeep Hooda is shown standing on top of the statue of Jesus crucified and an altar. This has hurt the religious sentiments of the people, which is causing anger among them. People of the Christian community have objected to this and are demanding to ban it. Apart from this, a scene of massacre is also seen in the church. The community believes that the makers have deliberately kept such scenes.

There is a demand to ban the film

Now a video of a protest by the Christian community in Punjab against the film has surfaced online. People are seen raising slogans like "Randeep Hooda murdabad" in the video. The members had planned to protest outside the cinema hall but were stopped by the police. They submitted a memorandum to the Joint Commissioner demanding a ban on the film and gave a 48-hour ultimatum. They have also demanded legal action against the makers.

Randeep Hooda played the role of Ranatunga

In Jaat, Randeep Hooda is playing the role of a ruthless gangster Ranatunga, who clashes with actor Sunny Deol. Randeep has increased his weight by eight kilos for this film. Director Gopichand Malineni has portrayed Hooda's Ranatunga as a ruthless gangster, who appears to stand strong against Sunny Deol.
