Bombay High Court Typing Test Sparks Outrage: Candidates and Activists Protest Server Failures
Frustration and anger boiled over in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as numerous candidates who appeared for the online typing test for clerical positions in the Bombay High Court took to the streets in protest. The demonstrators alleged widespread technical failures, server crashes, and system malfunctions during the examination process. Activist Abhijit Dipke, convener of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), along with local leaders, joined the agitating students to demand justice, claiming that deserving candidates were unfairly declared failed due to administrative and technical shortcomings beyond their control.
System Failures and Student Grievances at Exam Centers
The protests erupted after candidates faced acute technical disruptions inside examination halls. According to aggrieved students, computers malfunctioned mid-test, screens turned yellow, keyboards abruptly stopped responding, and automated logouts occurred within the first ten minutes of the exam. Protesters questioned the efficacy of online testing systems, raising sharp concerns about the future of thousands of aspirants. Activist Deepak Chhatrapati visited the examination center in the Surana Nagar area of Sambhajinagar to interact with the affected candidates, declaring his unwavering support and vowing to stand with the students until their demands for a fair re-examination are met.
Bombay High Court Registry Responds to Allegations
In response to the mounting uproar, the Registrar (Personnel) of the Bombay High Court issued an official notification addressing the situation. The registry stated that while the clerical typing test—conducted through an external agency—was largely managed smoothly across various locations, technical glitches and server issues were indeed reported at specific examination centers, most notably in Aurangabad (Sambhajinagar) and Kalyan. Assuring candidates that the administration is taking the matter seriously, the high court confirmed that a thorough investigation into the technical malfunctions is currently underway, and affected examinees will be formally notified of subsequent corrective actions.
