The second lunar eclipse of the year is going to take place on Bhadrapada Purnima. It will start at 09:58 pm. The full effect of the lunar eclipse will be at 11 pm late at night. Sutak

On the day of solar eclipse, Sutak is of four prahars. One prahar is of 3 hours. For this, Sutak starts 12 hours before the day of solar eclipse. On the other hand, Sutak starts three prahars before the day of lunar eclipse. For this,   Sutak starts 09 hours before the day of  lunar eclipse . On Bhadrapada Purnima, Sutak has started 09 hours before.

When will the lunar eclipse begin?

According to the Vedic Panchang, the second lunar eclipse of the year will start at 09:58 pm and will end at 01:26 am. Sutak will also end at this time. At the same time, you can eat food before the eclipse i.e. till 09:57 pm. Do not eat after this. 

Take these precautions during lunar eclipse

  • Avoid going to negative places during lunar eclipse.
  • Stay away from arguments.
  • Do not consume tamasic things.
  • Do not consume alcohol.
  • Don't say harsh words to anyone.
  • Do not hold grudges against anyone.
  • Do not touch the idol.
  • Do not insult elders.
  • Stay away from sharp objects.
