Haryana Police Recruitment 2026: Apply for 400 Special Police Officer (SPO) Posts Starting August 24

The Haryana Police has officially released an important recruitment notification to fill 400 Special Police Officer (SPO) positions within the Telecommunications Wing of the state police force. Eligible former servicemen from the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and former constables of disbanded battalions are invited to participate in the walk-in application process, which begins on August 24, 2026.

District-Wise Application Schedule and Venue

Unlike standard online recruitment drives, the application process for these 400 SPO posts follows a strict, district-wise walk-in schedule. Candidates must report in person by 9:00 AM on their designated district date opposite Police Line Telecommunication, Sector 25, near Village Moginand, Panchkula. No applications will be accepted past the respective deadlines:

• August 24, 2026: Candidates from Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and Kaithal.

• August 25, 2026: Candidates from Sonipat, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri.

• August 26, 2026: Candidates from Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat (Nuh), Palwal, Rewari, and Narnaul.

• August 27, 2026: Candidates from Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Hansi, Jind, and Dabwali.

Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit, and Required Experience

To qualify for the Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026, applicants must fulfill specific service and academic criteria:

• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 25 and 50 years of age.

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 12th standard (Intermediate) from a recognized board.

• Service Background: A minimum of 5 years of active service experience in the Armed Forces or CAPF is mandatory. Applicants must not have been dismissed for misconduct or indiscipline and must possess an "A" medical fitness category at discharge with an "Exemplary" or "Outstanding" character certificate. Preference will be given to veterans with signal corps or telecommunication device experience.

Selection Process, Salary, and Allowances

The selection process is straightforward, featuring no written examination or physical test. Candidates will be selected based strictly on document verification, medical examinations, and character background checks. Selected personnel will undergo a 15-day capsule training course.

• Monthly Honorarium: ₹20,000 per month directly credited to bank accounts.

• Allowances: A one-time uniform allowance of ₹3,000 along with a daily TA/DA of ₹150 for official tours. No application fee is required.

Appointments will initially be valid for one year (extendable until regular appointments are made), and candidates will not be posted to their home police stations, though priority may be given to their home districts subject to availability.
