The financial prospects for polytechnic graduates have never been brighter. Selected students are now commanding average annual packages ranging between ₹6 lakh and ₹7 lakh. In high-performing instances, top-tier recruiters have offered packages as high as ₹10 lakh per annum, placing these diploma holders on par with many four-year engineering graduates. This surge in demand is supported by the sheer volume of recruitment; for context, while state engineering colleges saw approximately 6,000 placements in the same period, polytechnic institutes successfully facilitated over 14,000, underscoring their critical role in the state's technical workforce development.

The latest data reflects a significant move toward gender inclusivity, with 3,505 female students securing placements alongside 11,140 male counterparts in 2025-26. In neighboring Jharkhand, the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination saw a robust turnout, with 5,464 candidates appearing across designated centers to pursue similar career opportunities.
