News Topical, Digital Desk : United States has issued notification to the potential sale of maintenance support services and associated equipment to maintain Apache Helicopters and M777A2 Ultra-Light Howitzers for a total estimated price of $482.2 million; according to Defence Security Cooperation Agency – which handles sales to allies. The sale was notified in the Federal Register, an official journal of the US Government on Monday. Earlier, the US State Department on May 18 informed the US Congress about the planned sale of Apache Helicopters and M777A2 Ultra-Light Howitzers to India for service.

US to aid India further A notice issued by the Department of Defence, stated, India requested maintenance support services, United States government and contractor engineering and technical assistance, personnel training and other related logistics services to support its ongoing programme of 16 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters.
