During a grand statewide recruitment and welfare event in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially announced a 50 percent honorarium increase for Anganwadi workers and assistants, alongside comprehensive medical protections. State Women and Child Welfare Minister Baby Rani Maurya highlighted that this welfare milestone coincides with the successful completion of transparent recruitment for 71,310 positions, including 21,804 Anganwadi workers and 49,506 assistants across the state.

Substantial Financial Pay Hike and Annual Health Cover

The historic salary restructuring significantly elevates the monthly take-home compensation for grassroots personnel:

• Anganwadi Workers: Monthly honorarium increased by ₹4,000, raising the total payout from ₹8,000 to ₹12,000.

• Anganwadi Assistants (Helpers): Monthly honorarium increased by ₹2,000, raising the payout from ₹4,000 to ₹6,000.

• Comprehensive Health Insurance: In addition to the direct salary hike, all Anganwadi workers and helpers will receive fully cashless health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh annually, safeguarding their families across empanelled private hospitals, state medical colleges, and government institutions.

Addressing the gathered crowd in Ayodhya after distributing formal appointment letters to newly selected personnel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath contrasted the state's current progressive governance with the administrative neglect witnessed before 2017. He recalled an era when Anganwadi centers suffered from severe neglect, children brought their own mats to sit on, and nutrition programs were exploited by corrupt syndicates and liquor mafias.
