Taking direct aim at the previous Samajwadi Party administration, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath contrasted the pre-2017 era with present-day governance under the "double-engine" government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that prior to 2017, the state was notorious for having a dedicated mafia for every district, forcing youth into an identity crisis, driving farmers to despair, and leaving artisans unemployed. Today, however, Uttar Pradesh has replaced that dark legacy with constructive initiatives like "One District One Medical College," "One District One Product," and "One District One Cuisine." He stressed that the youth of Etawah no longer face discrimination or fear when traveling across India, as the region’s name now evokes respect rather than apprehension.

Highlighting the economic and social plight of the state under previous regimes, CM Yogi recalled how investors and ordinary citizens once hesitated to travel through Etawah due to severe lawlessness. He pointed out that in those times, people were afraid to invest capital because personal safety was entirely unassured, and even hotels across the country hesitated to register guests from the region. By contrast, the current administration's strict adherence to a zero-tolerance policy against crime and organized networks has restored safety, giving citizens, farmers, and entrepreneurs the confidence to thrive.

Reaffirming his government’s uncompromising stance on law and order, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated that the backbone of organized crime in Uttar Pradesh has been shattered. Following PM Modi’s call for clean and accountable governance in 2017, the administration adopted a stern approach to eliminate mafia rule completely. He asserted that those who attempt to revive mafia culture or disturb public peace will find themselves either behind bars or facing severe legal consequences.
